Du 20 au 26 juillet 2020, Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) abrite la 1ère session de la Semaine Panafricaine de la Critique d’Art (SePaCA) autour du thème « Faut-il réinventer la critique d’art en Afrique ? ». Initié par l’Agence Panafricaine d’Ingénierie Culturelle (APIC) dans le cadre du Programme NO’O CULTURES, l’événement réunira des critiques d’Afrique et du monde pour réfléchir sur comment « replacer la critique au cœur du projet culturel ».
En prélude à cet événement, en partenariat avec la Fédération Africaine de la Critique Cinématographique (FACC) et la société SUDU CONNEXION, il est organisé un concours de critique de cinéma à l’endroit des critiques africains.
CONDITIONS D'ÉLIGIBILITÉ :
Le concours est ouvert à toute personne répondant aux critères suivants :
Être un ressortissant et un résident africain
Savoir couramment écrire en français
Être membre d’une association affiliée à la Fédération Africaine de la Critique Cinématographique ou membre individuel reconnu par la FACC
Avoir publié au moins deux critiques cinématographiques les 12 derniers mois
MODALITÉS DE CANDIDATURE
Pour participer à ce concours, les modalités suivantes sont à respecter : les candidats doivent proposer une critique écrite d’un court-métrage choisi par le comité, en privilégiant un point de vue personnel et argumenté. Le court-métrage sera envoyé aux candidats après leur inscription au concours.
il n’est pas recommandé de faire une rédaction littéraire du film.
la critique ne doit pas dépasser deux pages Word (Times New Roman, 12, interligne 1,5)

Soumission de la critique du film
Une fois l’inscription validée, un lien de visionnage en ligne du court-métrage sera envoyé au candidat afin qu’il propose sa critique selon les critères énumérés.
Chaque candidat s’engage à consulter le lien uniquement dans le cadre de sa participation et à ne pas le partager avec des tierces personnes. En participant à ce concours, le candidat certifie être l’auteur du texte qu’il propose.
PROCESSUS DE SÉLECTION
Trois (03) textes seront déclarés finalistes et le 1er texte déclaré lauréat de cette édition à l’issue d’un processus en deux étapes :
une phase de présélection basée essentiellement sur la vérification de la conformité des candidatures au regard des conditions de participation
une phase de sélection des finalistes conduite par un jury de 3 membres composé de critiques cinématographiques professionnels.

L’auteur du texte lauréat sera invité à Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) pour la remise du prix de la critique de cinéma 2020 à l’occasion de la Semaine Panafricaine de la Critique d’Art, dans la limite des ressources disponibles.
EN From July 20 to 26, 2020, Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) is hosting the 1st session of Pan African Art Critics Week (SePaCA) with the topic“Should art criticism be reinvented in Africa? " Initiated by the Panafrican Agency for Cultural Engineering (APIC) as part of the NO’O CULTURES Program, the event will bring together critics from Africa and the world to reflect on how to “place criticism at the heart of the cultural project”.
As a prelude to this event, in partnership with the African Federation of Cinematographic Criticism (FACC) and SUDU CONNEXION, a competition for film critics is being held with African critics.
CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY :
The competition is open to anyone who meets the following criteria:
Be an African national and resident
Fluent in writing in French
Be a member of an association affiliated to the African Federation of Cinematographic Criticism or an individual member recognized by the FACC
Have published at least two film reviews in the past 12 months
APPLICATION TERMS
To participate in this competition, the following conditions must be respected:
-candidates must submit a written review of a short film chosen by the committee, favoring a personal and reasoned point of view. The short film will be sent to the candidates after their registration for the competition.
-it is not recommended to do a literary writing of the film.
-the criticism should not exceed two Word pages (Times New Roman, 12, line spacing 1.5)

Movie review submission
Once the registration has been validated, an online viewing link of the short film will be sent to the candidate so that he can offer his review according to the criteria listed.
Each candidate agrees to view the link only as part of their participation and not to share it with third parties. By participating in this competition, the candidate certifies that he is the author of the text he is proposing.
SELECTION PROCESS
Three (03) texts will be declared finalists and the first text declared winner of this edition after a two-step process:
-a preselection phase based essentially on verifying the compliance of the candidates with regard to the conditions of participation
-a finalist selection phase led by a 3-member jury made up of professional cinematographic critics.
