"In My Room" a été présenté en première au Festival du film de Venise Giornate degli Autori le 6 septembre dernier .
«Quand Miu Miu m'a proposé de faire un film pour la série Contes de femmes pendant le confinement, au milieu d'une crise sanitaire et sociale, j'ai pensé que c'était un exercice très délicat mais aussi un défi qui me posait des questions essentielles sur ma pratique de cinéaste '', a déclaré Mati Diop. «Quelle histoire puis-je raconter maintenant, avec des moyens minimes, seul dans mon studio, qui résonne avec ce que le monde traverse tout en étant intime?» ajoute-elle.

“When Miu Miu proposed to me to make a film for Women’s Tales during confinement, in the midst of a health and social crisis, I thought it was a very delicate exercise but also a challenge that confronted me with essential questions about my practice as a filmmaker, '' said Mati Diop. “What story can I tell now, with minimal means, alone in my studio, that resonates with what the world is going through while being intimate?”
