FR Les rideaux sont tombés sur la 11è édition du marché du film de Durban. Comme d'habitude, des projets de films ont obtenu divers prix qui sont:
Le prix CineMart, parrainé par le marché de la coproduction du Festival international du film de Rotterdam (Pays-Bas), a été attribué à The Accident (Afrique du Sud), produit par Khosi Dali et réalisé par Imran Hamdulay. Les cinéastes pourront assister au Rotterdam Lab, un événement de formation et de réseautage de cinq jours pour les producteurs en 2021.
Le prix Produire au Sud du Festival des 3 Continents (Nantes, France)) / IFAS Award est allé à We All Fall Down (Zimbabwe), réalisé et produit par Tapiwa Chipfupa. Mme Chipfupa aura l'opportunité d'assister au programme d'ateliers de développement, PAS, où ils seront soutenus par des outils de développement, une expertise et des opportunités pour forger des réseaux européens.
Le prix Sørfond (Norvège) a été décerné au projet Vlees van my Vlees (Flesh of my Flesh) (Afrique du Sud) produit par Lucia Meyer-Marais et Jozua Malherbe et réalisé par Matthys Boshoff. Les cinéastes ont eu l'opportunité d'assister à un cours de pitch, ainsi que de présenter ce projet au Sørfond Pitching Forum à Oslo, en Norvège.
Durban Filmmart Talents Durban Award (Afrique du Sud) pour le projet Talents Durban a été décerné au réalisateur de Between Worlds (Ouganda), Adong Judith. Ce projet se qualifie automatiquement pour le forum DFM 2021.
Le Prix DoK Leipzig (Allemagne) a été décerné à The House is Burning (Afrique du Sud) réalisé et produit par Sara Gouveia et coproduit par Natalie Geyser. Ces cinéastes participeront désormais au programme sectoriel 2021 DoK Leipzig et auront la possibilité de faire une présentation publique du projet dans le DOK Co-Pro Market ou DOK Preview Presentation.
Le prix du Festival international du film documentaire d'Amsterdam (IDFA) (Pays-Bas) a été décerné à The Ship and the Sea (O Navio eo Mar) (Mozambique) produit par Lara Sousa, coproduit par Matheus Mello et réalisé par Lara Sousa et Everlane Moraes leur permettant de participer à l'événement virtuel IDFA 2020 plus tard cette année.
Une invitation spéciale du GZDOC au Festival international du film documentaire de Guangzhou (Chine) a été décernée à cinq projets de films, ce qui va leur permettre de participer à la session virtuelle GZ Doc Pitch en 2021.

● Le Mur de la Mort, (Maroc) - Producteurs: Merieme Addou, Alexis Taillant, Nadege Labe, Réalisateur: Amine Sabir
Festival International de film Documentaire d'Agadir (Maroc) (FIDADOC): Les prix ont été décernés au projet Talents Durban To Be Loved (Togo) porté par Justin Kpatchaa et Pan Africa & The Ticking Time Bomb (Kenya) produit par Jean Meeran dont l'auteur est Eva Njoki Munyiri . Ces prix offrent aux cinéastes l'opportunité de participer à la résidence d'écriture FIDADOC en décembre 2020.
Le prix de l'Association internationale des cinéastes émergents (IEFTA) (Monaco) a été attribué à trois projets Talents Durban:
● Long métrage documentaire: Conti-Mental / Black People Don't Get Depressed (Afrique du Sud) réalisé par Sara Chitambo
● Long métrage: Between Worlds (Ouganda) réalisé par Adong Judith
● Court-métrage: Je ne partagerais pas normalement ça (Egypte) réalisé par Noura Sharaf
Ces projets bénéficieront de mentorats dans le cadre de l’un des programmes et laboratoires de développement des partenaires de l’IEFTA.
Le prix DOK.fest München (Allemagne) a été décerné à The House is Burning (Afrique du Sud) réalisé et produit par Sara Gouveia et la coproductrice Natalie Geyser qui participera au DOK.forum Marketplace.
Le prix Miradas Doc (Espagne) a été décerné à Rising up at Night (République démocratique du Congo), produit par Dada Kahindo, Rosa Spaliviero et réalisé par Nelson Makengo qui comprend une participation au Miradasdoc 2021.
Le Prix FIPADOC du Festival International du Documentaire (France) a été attribué à Des Espoirs (Hope) (Tunisie), produit par Erige Sehiri, Carine Ruszniewski, Clothilde Bunod et réalisé par Dhia Jerbi pour participer au programme FIPADOC 2021.
La National Film and Video Foundation (Afrique du Sud) a attribué cette année à trois projets des subventions en espèces pour développer davantage leurs projets:
● La bourse du meilleur projet documentaire sud-africain avec un montant de 50 000 rands est allée à 12 Pangas (Afrique du Sud) produit par James Tayler et Xola Mteto et réalisé par Xola Mteto
● La bourse du meilleur projet de fiction sud-africain avec un montant de 50 000 rands est allée au projet Talents Durban Behind High Walls (Afrique du Sud) produit par Jono Kyriakou et réalisé par Pheello Mokokeng
● La bourse du meilleur pitch global de R100 00 a été attribuée à The House is Burning (Afrique du Sud) réalisé et produit par Sara Gouveia et coproduit par Natalie Geyser
The 11th edition of the Durban Film Market is over. As usual, film projects got various awards that are:
The CineMart Award sponsored by the co-production market of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (The Netherlands), went to The Accident (South Africa), produced by Khosi Dali and directed by Imran Hamdulay. The filmmakers will be able to attend the Rotterdam Lab, a five-day training and networking event for producers in 2021.

These filmmakers will now participate in the 2021 DoK Leipzig Industry Programme and are given an opportunity to do a public presentation of the project in the DOK Co-Pro Market or DOK Preview Presentation.

Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival (China) Special GZDOC Invitation went to five film projects providing them with the opportunity to participate in the virtual GZ Doc Pitch Session in 2021.

Festival International de film Documentaire d’Agadir (Morocco) (FIDADOC) Awards went to the Talents Durban project To Be Loved (Togo) directed by Justin Kpatchaa and Pan Africa & The Ticking Time Bomb (Kenya) produced by Jean Meeran and directed by Eva Njoki Munyiri providing the filmmakers with the opportunity to participate in the FIDADOC Writing Residency in December 2020.
International Emerging FilmMakers Association (IEFTA) Award (Monaco) went to three Talents Durban projects:
● Feature Documentary Film: Conti-Mental/Black People Don’t Get Depressed (South Africa) directed by Sara Chitambo
● Feature Film: Between Worlds (Uganda) directed by Adong Judith
● Short Film: I Might Not Normally Share This (Egypt) directed by Noura Sharaf
These projects will be given mentorships through one of IEFTA’s partner development programmes and labs.
DOK.fest München Award (Germany) was given to The House is Burning (South Africa) directed and produced by Sara Gouveia and co-producer Natalie Geyser who will participate in the DOK.forum Marketplace.
Miradas Doc Award (Spain) was given to Rising up at Night (Democratic Republic of the Congo), produced by Dada Kahindo, Rosa Spaliviero and directed by Nelson Makengo which includes participation in the Miradasdoc 2021.
